Playwriting

I have always enjoyed acting whether it was in plays in college or behind a flip phone camera making weird short films with my friends. Its like a bug or and itch that I can't get rid of and if I haven't performed in something in a while I feel this force plunging me straight back in because i enjoy it so much. I get to express myself, and forget about the real world for a period of time. During university I joined an amazing theatre group called Sostena Theatre (meaning sustainable theatre). We performed a play in December 2021 created by Sostena called 'Speedy Trendy Cool' A comedy about the fast fashion industry. Not only did I perform in the play, but I was also able to write all of my lines, which was exciting for me especially when seeing the audiences reaction. The play was a hit, we sold out of tickets and the Poly theatre in Falmouth wanted us to perform at their Theatre again.

Its 2030 And We Saved The Planet

This play we created was all about inspiring and creating hope around the current climate crisis. We wanted to use humour and positivity to talk about this issue and from that came this play. I was heavily involved in writing scripts and scenes for this play which was such a joy as I had freedom to mess around with whacky ideas and then bring them to life. The play went so well that the Poly theatre in Falmouth received feedback saying we should tour it around the country performing in different places, and so we are in talks and discussing how we can make this possible.
